Play magazine secures Grand Theft Auto IV exclusive on PS3
Play and Rockstar join forces to bring readers the latest on its
bestselling PlayStation series.
Play, the UK’s bestselling independent PlayStation
magazine, is proud to announce a partnership with
Rockstar Games to bring its readers the latest news
on the year’s most anticipated game, Grand Theft
Auto IV.
GTA IV is the first of Rockstar’s franchise to appear
on a next-gen console. Taking place in Liberty City,
a facsimile of New York City, the game is set to
redefine the franchise for PlayStation 3, giving the
player unprecedented freedom, vastly improved
game dynamics and marks a more mature approach
to the series. Play’s exclusive will give readers an
unprecedented insight into the new features that will
make this the best Grand Theft Auto game yet.
The ten-page article features never-before-seen screenshots and will reveal the first
information on how the game will play, including the brand new mission structure, how the
new combat works, the revamped Wanted system, and will give readers a sample of what
it’s like to live a day in the next-gen Liberty City. To mark the importance of the exclusive,
the issue will come in a special edition foil bag emblazoned with the now famous “IV” logo.
Nick Jones, Editor in Chief of Play said, “I’m extremely happy that Rockstar chose Play to
be the first independent PlayStation magazine to unveil its latest masterpiece on PS3. This
confirms Play’s position as the definitive next generation PlayStation magazine and the title
of choice for the biggest exclusives.”
Play issue 155 is on sale 12 July priced at £3.99 with a free DVD.
Imagine Publishing is one of the UK’s fastest growing consumer
specialist publishers and now publishes 20 print magazines and 15
