Web Designer partners with
Microsoft for Expression launch
UK’s best web design magazine and Microsoft team up to deliver an
exclusive Expression Studio supplement
Web Designer issue 131 arrives with an exclusive free 20-
page supplement in association with the launch of Microsoft
Expression Studio. This prestigious partnership represents a
real coup for the UK’s leading online design title and publisher
Imagine Publishing.
“Microsoft’s exciting strategy within web development and its
commitment to delivering the Expression Studio range makes
us very proud to celebrate the launch in this way”, explained
Web Designer Editor, Mark Billen.
“Our launch guide not only does Expression proud by
looking fantastic, but also adds even more value through the
expert tutorials that our readers are accustomed to.”
Readers are treated to first-look lessons across Expression Web, Blend, Design, and
Media, plus informative overviews on the emerging Windows Presentation Foundation
(WPF) and Silverlight technologies – all from the stable of experienced Web Designer
contributors such as Darren Richardson and Simon Bisson.
“With the launch of Expression Studio and the Silverlight plug-in Microsoft is giving
developers and designers a technology choice so they can rapidly create amazing user
experiences for Windows and Mac”, Said Microsoft UK’s Expression Product Manager
John Allwright.
“Web Designer’s continuing focus on this rapidly changing area combined with their
reputation for high-quality, in-depth tutorials made them an obvious launch partner for us.”
Imagine Publishing is one of the UK’s fastest growing consumer specialist publishers. Formed in May 2005, it
now publishes 20 magazines and 15websites in the videogames, computing and photography markets. An Imagine magazine is purchased every
