Practical evolution for Imagine’s digital video magazine
UK’s fastest growing consumer specialist publisher relaunches
Digital Video Techniques as Practical Digital Video

Bournemouth-based technology publishing company, Imagine
Publishing, is proud to announce the relaunch of an inaugural launch title.
From issue 18, Digital Video Techniques will reappear on the shelves as
Practical Digital Video and the name change brings with it a dynamic shift
in focus to the professional sector of the DV market.
The beginner approach
of the original magazine has been replaced with coverage
of high-end digital video hardware and software aimed at those who take
their digital video seriously, from film and media students through to industry
professionals and retired enthusiasts.
All content in the new-look magazine
is written by recognised names in the DV industry; from step-by-step
tutorials on cutting-edge software, like Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final
Cut Pro and Sony Vegas, to instruction in advanced shooting with high-end
hardware and equipment.
Stuart Tarrant, Editor of Practical Digital Video
said, “This
relaunch delivers the only UK magazine to focus on the needs
of today’s
digital video enthusiasts and professionals. Whether an aspiring
amateur or a dedicated professional, Practical Digital Video
seeks to inspire and educate its readers on the latest production techniques
used in today’s
digital video industry.”
Editor-in-Chief Dave Harfield said, “The advent of high-definition
technology and affordable, broadcast-quality camcorders has created a new legion
of filmmakers making low budget and indie films, and we’re proud to provide this
thriving market with an invaluable resource in Practical Digital Video.”
Imagine

specialist publisher. Formed in May
2005, it now publishes 20 magazines
