Digital Photographer of the Year Awards 2007 announced
Imagine’s flagship digital photography magazine is proud to be hosting its first ever awards aimed at enthusiasts and semi-pro photographers

Imagine Publishing, one of the UK’s fastest-growing consumer specialist publishers, is
pleased to announce the launch of the Digital Photographer of the Year Awards 2007.
Working in conjunction with industry giant Samsung, as well as Kata, Park Cameras and
Flash Memory, the awards will be introduced to the public in Digital Photographer issue
59, on sale 19 July 2007.
In the extremely competitive market, up-and-coming photographers can find it hard to
get their work noticed; the Digital Photographer of the Year Awards 2007 aims to give a
helping hand to talented individuals and showcase their talents in one of the UK’s bestknown
photography magazines.
“Working in conjunction with some of the leading names in the photographic industry,
our objective for these awards is to find hidden talent and expose it to the world,”
explained Editor, Debbi Allen. “Encompassing multiple genres of photography, the awards
will showcase the high standards achieved by many enthusiasts and semi-professional
photographers.”
Robert King, Samsung’s commercial director, said: “Samsung Cameras is proud to be a
sponsor of Digital Photographer of the Year 2007. Both Samsung and Digital Photographer
share the same values in terms of quality, creativity and professionalism, and this makes
the magazine an ideal partner for us to work with. As a manufacturer of digital cameras,
we are continually striving to bring new technologies and innovative products to market,
and we see this sponsorship as an opportunity to further enhance our growing camera
brand. We feel sure that this competition will produce some fantastic results and we look
forward to rewarding the winners with Samsung cameras.”
Details of the judging panel and categories will be announced shortly.
Imagine Publishing is one of the UK’s fastest-growing consumer specialist
