games™ unveils its first redesign in over 60 issues!

Award-winning multiformat games magazine decides it’s time for a change, with a cutting edge design and new editorial sections

On Thursday 4 October, issue 62 of games™ magazine goes on sale across the UK and the world showcasing its brand new look and fresh approach to editorial.

Since launching in November 2002, the magazine has not strayed far from its original guise, but now, after winning multiple awards for its content and aesthetic design, its been decided that it’s time to raise the bar even higher. Under the watchful eye of Editor Rick Porter, the redesigned magazine now boasts a look that maximises the potential to deliver quality content without adhering to overly constrictive templates. Clean and stylish, the new iteration will help games™ become an even more valuable companion to the mature gamer.

Also, as part of the overhaul, in a move prompted by the huge popularity of the existing columnists, Atari veteran and ET coder Howard Scott Warshaw has also been brought on board to offer his extensive knowledge and experienced opinion to the new-look retro section.

“Since games™ was launched, much has changed in the videogame industry,” commented Rick Porter, Editor of games™. “Change is essential and with new audiences and new technologies, this fact is more apparent than ever. The new design of games™ reflects this. With a more focused feel, a sleeker look and each article given the space it deserves, the magazine maintains the same high-quality editorial and respected opinion it has become known for.”

Managing Director Damian Butt said: “Some said it would never happen, but games™’s bold redesign breathes new life into the magazine and secures its reputation as one of, if not the most intelligent, innovative and exciting games magazines in the world.”

Imagine Publishing is one of the UK’s fastest growing consumer specialist publishers. Formed in May 2005, it now publishes 20 magazines and 20 websites in the videogames, computing, entertainment and photography markets. An Imagine magazine is purchased every ten seconds.
