Digital Camera Buyer teams up with Fujifilm for supplement

Leading UK digital camera magazine publishes innovative ‘In Focus’ supplement with its Christmas issue

Digital Camera Buyer, the UK’s definitive digital camera buyers’ guide, has produced its first ever ‘In Focus’ supplement with leading camera manufacturer, Fujifilm. Included free with issue 52 of the magazine, it offers an in-depth introduction to the products and technologies in the Fujifilm FinePix digital camera range, and represents Digital Camera Buyer’s commitment to producing innovative editorial.

Running to 20 pages in length and printed using the same high-quality paper and high-gloss cover as the magazine itself, the Fujifilm supplement provides readers with a detailed guide to the key technologies offered by the FinePix range, including Face Detection and high ISO sensitivity for shooting fast-moving subjects and low-light scenes. The supplement also includes reviews of the very latest FinePix models, plus previews of forthcoming cameras such as the FinePix Z5fd and the S5 Pro digital SLR.

Digital Camera Buyer’s Editor, Chris Lean, said: “We are very excited by the possibilities offered by our ‘In Focus’ supplement format, which allows us to bring readers a full indepth guide to individual camera ranges – something that is unique among UK camera buyers’ magazines. Everyone involved is delighted with the end result.”

Hayley Buery, Fujifilm UK’s Public Relations Manager, said: “From the outset we were impressed by Imagine’s proactive and thorough approach towards the Fujifilm FinePix Difference supplement. Involvement of the editorial team from very early on was key to ensuring it was a highly informative guide to the FinePix range, which readers would find of real value and be likely to keep and revisit. The supplement has been very well received by the industry, as well as highly popular on the newsstand.”

Adam Smithson, Digital Camera Buyer’s Advertising Manager, added: “It was a pleasure working with Fujifilm and the end product raises the bar and gives us a new industry standard. With this project Digital Camera Buyer and Fujifilm, have pioneered a new way of communicating with our readers, which we hope to continue with other industry partners in future.”
