22nd September 2005 Photoshop Creative launched New Bournemouth-based publisher takes to the image-editing world
with its new Photoshop Creative magazine
Imagine Publishing, the innovative new specialist magazine publisher, is delighted to
announce the launch of Photoshop Creative – the UK’s first monthly title dedicated to
Adobe’s outstanding image editor.
Aimed at intermediate and enthusiastic users of the program, each issue is packed with
inspirational tutorials covering subjects such as photo editing, illustration, digital painting,
graphic design and typography. The aim behind the magazine is simple – to give readers
the information they need to become better Photoshop users.
“I’ve waited for a magazine like Photoshop Creative for a long time” said Jo Cole, Editor.
“The creative market desperately needed a title that concentrated just on the Photoshop
software. It’s a vast program and users deserve an accessible magazine that clearly
illustrates what they can achieve with a bit of imagination and time.”
In addition to creative tutorials, there are also regular sections that explain how a particular
tool or technique works, and reviews of the best hardware, software and resources. Users
also benefit from a free resource covermounted CD-ROM, with extras such as stock
photos, brushes, gradients, plug-ins, fonts and more.
“I think there are a lot of people who aren’t using the Photoshop software to its full
potential” said the magazine’s Lora Sykes. “We want to show readers how to use all of the
program’s features and not be content with only using a small percentage.”
Editor Jo Cole summed up the launch: “Photoshop Creative is exactly what the average
Photoshop user needs. It has plenty of advice, inspiration and practical instruction. The
Photoshop software can sometimes feel like a beast, but we’re determined to help you
tame it.”
